What's Happening In Pittsburgh Nightlife?

This webpage is for all you hardworking college students around the Pittsburgh area who need a break at the end of your days, but arent sure where to find a good time in this great city.

While Pittsburgh is home to many colleges including, The University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University, Carlow College, and Carnegie Mellon University; it has a rather wide range of restaraunts and attractions.

Where are some places to check out?

Since there are many kinds of college students with many different interest, We have split attractions into seperate groups to accomodate what you like:

The locations of the Southside, Station Square, and The Strip District offer a wide range of bars to take a look at. Here are some of our personal favorites.

Station Square

Here are some bars and restaraunts to try if your in Station Square:

Margarita Mama's - Must be 21 or over- Large outdoor deck, 3 pool tables, 4 bars, VIP lounge, A club you need to check out

The Matrix - Must be 21 or over- 4 Worldclass nightclubs in one.

The Redstar Tavern - Must be 21 to Drink- Restaraunt/Bar, great place to just sit back and relax, they even micrbrew their own beer.

Hard Rock Cafe - Must be 21 to Drink- This location of the Hard Rock houses live bands and some of the best drink specials in the city. Take a look at the rock memorabilia and gift shop too.

The Southside

Here are some places to try if your in The Southside of Pittsburgh:

Fathead's - Must be 21 to Drink- neighborhood bar and grill, come to eat,drink,and relax.

The Smiling Moose - Must be 21- NO COVER! Come see a great live band and get a drink while your at it. They even have their own "A" Hockey Team.

The Tiki Lounge - Must be 21- retro recreation of high clas Tiki bars from the 60's and 70's. Tropical drinks and regular people. Come see live DJs spin to a pumping sea of people.

Bruschettas - Indoor and outdoor dining praised in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette with a star rating. Be sure to check out the Middle Eastern Monday specials.

Le Pommier - A modern French American bistro located in the heart of historical southside

The Zenith - Little known vegetatrian and vegan dining is what this place offers. Also a art gallery and antique shop.

The Strip District

Here are some places to try if your in The Strip District

31st St. Pub - Must be 21- This pub has been around for years and houses some great shows while giving a great rock n roll atmosphere

Mullaney's Harp and Fiddle - Must be 21 to Drink- Take a trip to the Emerald Isle at this restaraunt where patrons can enjoy a good Irish pint and meal.

Sports Rock Cafe - Must be 21- Voted the #1 sports bar in Pittsburgh. Enjoy great appetizers and even better Pittsburgh sports at this place.

Klavons - Enjoy and old fashioned ice cream parlor feeling. Includes a lunch menu and soda fountain.Great place for a first date.
