My name is Karissa Kilgore, and I'm a senior at Seton Hill University. I'm an Engilsh Literature major, but I'm also getting minors in new media journalism and creative writing. I'm also a native of Pennsylvania.
I've made this webpage as my final project in my EL236 class (Writing for the Internet). I'm fortunate to have had the opportunity to do something for myself with this project. Many people have asked me about putting my sugarpacket collection up online, and believe me, it's been an idea for a long time. But now, with better HTML skills (and my experience in designing webpages with CSS), I'm finally able to create something that I like and that I'd like to maintain.
I'll probably always collect sugarpackets because I love asking for a souvenir that costs nothing. My sugarpacket collection is really special to me, and to me it's better than a scrapbook because it's more than just my efforts going into its production.
I would like to thank all of my friends and family members who have given me sugarpackets over the years. You've brought me joy in a small paper wrapping, and even if you don't realize how happy you've made me, just know that I appreciate it. Also, thank you for being patient with me when I remind you a dozen times to get a sugarpacket for me.
